The Curriculum

The Elementary curriculum is comprehensive and challenging. Our children develop problem-solving skills appropriate for each grade's curriculum. The syllabus includes the school's sequential and development programme for Kindergarten to Grade 6, as well as the Ministry of Education's "Foundation in Self Development - Curriculum Guide for Primary Schools".

The aim of the Pre-kindergarten Department is to develop the whole child through a play and learn environment. Activities include Art & Craft, painting, water and sand play, paper tearing, cutting and pasting. In addition, our children listen to stories, sounds, poetry and the fine and gross motor skills are developed.

At the Kindergarten level our students are introduced to the concept of living and sharing in a comfortable manner. They are prepared for learning to read and introduced to the fundamental concepts of Mathematics.

Learning is not limited to the self-contained classrooms and textbooks. All of our students are exposed to resource persons from the community who come in to share their experiences with them. Project work and research are encouraged and the students go on field trips to places of local and historical interest.
